Community Car Scheme Driver

Do you like driving and meeting new people?

Hambleton Community Action's Community Car Scheme provides transport for people who are unable to access public or private transport, due to disability, age or location. We are looking for volunteers who can take and support people to go to medical appointments, day care facilities, shopping and to visit friends and family.

This is a great way to support the community and make a real difference to people's lives.

Skills or experience required?:

Our Volunteer Drivers transport people using their own vehicles so will need a driving licence, valid MOT, insurance and tax. Expenses are reimbursed at 45p per mile (HMRC rate). Drivers choose their own level of commitment. We ask all our volunteers to observe our health and safety, confidentiality, safeguarding and other policies. Regular training is provided.
