Peer Supporter

Our Peer Supporters take part in an interesting training programme that includes supervised work experience, leading to recognised qualifications.The training builds on the knowledge and skills they perhaps already have from previous learning, work and life experience. The work is very rewarding because the peer support can make a real difference to the lives of people from their own community.
Free creche and transport is available to those that need it.

Skills or experience required?:

The support we offer is just about the parent, what's on their mind and how they are feeling, therefore our Volunteers must understand the importance of confidentiality.
If you have a child of any age then you know how challenging it is becoming and being a parent, this also means you have genuine empathy and understanding for the parents we support.
