Library Trustees

We are looking for Trustees to join our team in 2020. The library has been volunteer-run since 2017 and is an important community hub for the town. A team of about 35 volunteers help with library shifts and events. Trustee meetings are held monthly (about ten per year), usually on a Wednesday afternoon (but that is not set in stone!)

Skills or experience required?:

We would be interested in anyone who is committed to supporting a community library in Bedale. Some of the current trustees are coming to end of their tenure, so we are looking in particular in the areas of:
Treasurer - Financial experience
Secretary - minute taking at the monthly meeting. Circulation of agenda and minutes as required.
Marketing - newsletter, website, social media, posters etc.
Event organisation
Grant applications
