Handyperson Assistant volunteer

The Yorkshire Housing Home Improvement Agency in North Yorkshire employ Handypersons to help people remain in their own homes by completing all those small jobs / adaptations that generally older people can no longer do. We visit people in their own homes and offer advice and support on keeping warm and well.
We are looking for volunteers to go out with the Handypersons to assist them but also to spend time chatting with our customers. We always have new initiatives going on and we try to get the information out to as many people as we can but don't always have the extra time to spend with our customers. Our Handyperson service covers Hambleton, Richmondshire, Selby, Craven and Harrogate and our office is in Northallerton.
We also have a second opportunity for a volunteer to assist in our office on social media/promotional work and the occasional visit with our Needs Advice and Support officer on grant work.
