Chair, Settle Stories

Following over 6 years in post, Settle Stories current Chair has come to the end of his term.

This presents a unique opportunity to join the organisation at a pivotal stage in our development.

2020 was not the 10th anniversary year we expected. We took our flagship event online, positioning ourselves as digital leaders in the storytelling world. We have built strong foundations to ensure the charity is fit for purpose in a digital world. We now seek a strategic Chair to lead the organisation through this change.

Skills or experience required?:

The Chair will have a forward-looking, global outlook, celebrate internationalism and inclusivity and be passionate about the arts and the power of story.

The Chair will support the Executive Team to ensure the charity has a clear mission and strategic direction. You will ensure good leadership of the board of Trustees and ensure the Board fulfils its duties and responsibilities for the proper governance of the charity.

You will bring your networks, be an excellent communicator and have the ability to constructively challenge and engage with the views of others.

We are particularly keen to hear from women, those from BAME backgrounds and with disabilities.

This position is voluntary. Travel expenses can be remunerated.
