Group Executive Secretary

Each Scout Group is a charity in its own right. The Group Scout Leader is assisted by an Executive Committee who ensure that the Group has all the necessary resources/finances to offer a comprehensive scouting program for its sections e.g. Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. An opportunity has arisen for a new Group secretary to work alongside the chairman of the Scout Group Executive committee. The role involves preparing agenda and writing minutes of Group Exec meetings (4 times per year, meeting held weekday evenings) and some aspects of facilities management and help with fundraising.
IT skills necessary, attention to detail and good communication skills. Happy to work as part of a committed team. Experience of scouting is not a prerequisite. All Executive members automatically become charity Trustees so you must be eligible to serve as a Trustee. Training available and DBS clearance required. This is a non-uniform role.
