Befriender

As the pandemic, we hope, begins to dwindle away, Skipton Step into Action goes from strength to strength and still needs your help. As the requirement to shop or pick up prescriptions reduces, the requirement to help people adjust to post-pandemic life grows. As you would expect, there are people who have barely left their homes for over 12 months and who now find the though of going out into crowds quite daunting. For some, Skipton Step into Action volunteers have been their only contact with the outside world during lockdown, especially if they were clinically extremely vulnerable.
If you can spare some time to help people adjust, to help reduce loneliness or to help with community projects, such as "Ground Yourself in Green" project then please do get in touch.
