Day Services Volunteer - in Richmond

We are looking for caring, enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to support our dementia day service activities in Richmond. The role would be based at our hub Garget Walker House, where we provide a full day of meaningful activity for people living with dementia. Volunteers will welcome people to the hub, help serve refreshments, support them to engage in activities such as art, games and singing, and be there to offer a welcoming smile and a listening ear.

Skills or experience required?:

Volunteers do not need to have any particular skills and we will provide dementia awareness training, but we do ask that volunteers have an empathy for people living with dementia and a desire to support them to live well. If you have any skills such as arts and crafts, baking or playing an instrument these would be a bonus.
