Community Car drivers

The Ryedale volunteer car scheme does exactly what the name suggests. It is there to get people where they want to go. If you love driving, you can volunteer and drive your own car or after minimal training drive on of our wheelchairs accessible vehicles and give people who can’t get out and about on their own some much-needed freedom, and access to services. Volunteer car scheme drivers are reimbursed at a rate of 45p per mile to cover the operating cost of your vehicle.
