Trustee x2

Selby District Vision is seeking two committed individuals to join the Trustee Board and support the organisation to make a difference to visually impaired individuals, their families and carers across our community.

Selby District Vision is a local charity committed to helping people experiencing sight loss. First established in the early 1960s, then registered officially as a charity in the early 1980s, Selby District Vision has been assisting local people for over 50 years.

We aim to meet the needs of visually impaired people by providing support, advice and social activities that promote independence. Striving to involve the wider community in our work, we provide the public with visual awareness opportunities and have regular community fundraising events. We receive no state funding, so rely entirely on fundraising, legacies and donations to continue our work. Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organisation.
