Dial A Ride is a Scarborough based community transport charity established in 1983 and providing, safe, accessible and affordable transport to anyone aged over 60 or those of any age with a disability. We play a vital role in supporting our passengers independence and dignity. Our transport enables them to attend health appointments, day and respite care, luncheon clubs, support groups, shops and supermarkets or visit the hairdresser, friends and family. To achieve this, we rely on the support and hard work of our dedicated and friendly team of volunteer drivers and passenger assistants.

In addition to our fleet of wheelchair accessible minibuses, we also have 3 wheelchair accessible cars, all VW Caddy Maxis, some Automatic and a brand new 2022 plate manual. These 3 vehicles are used exclusively for longer journeys. We are urgently seeking caring and experienced car drivers specifically to take people from the Scarborough and Filey areas to attend vital hospital and health appointments outside of the Borough of Scarborough; generally Bridlington, Malton, York, Hull, Leeds, Middlesborough, Newcastle or even as far as Birmingham.
