Would you like a chance to meet new people whilst also making a huge difference?

Have you been subjected to domestic abuse and wish to support women through their healing?

Skills or experience required?:

We are looking for positive, outgoing and empathetic people to join our volunteer team. The role involves supporting our clients by sending regular check in texts. This includes contacting clients to check in on their mental and emotional health, providing signposting and being available for any emotional support needed. This requires an open and non judgemental approach with a positive outlook, to build trust and ensure the provision of a safe and supportive virtual environment. As such we are looking for someone with good interpersonal skills, good organisational/time management skills and someone who is able to build a rapport virtually.

While monthly volunteer supervision will be provided by a trauma-informed coach we encourage those applying to have a strong awareness of their boundaries in order to protect their own mental health.

The service is a women-led peer service and is therefore restricted to women/non-binary (assigned female at birth) applicants under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1 & Section 7(2)e of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975
