Virtual Self-Harm Support Group Facilitator

This is a UK-wide opportunity.

We're always looking for volunteers to run our self-harm peer support groups. We run a number of groups (each runs every 2 weeks) on both evenings and afternoons. Demand is high so we're planning to keep up with it by adding more groups. Days/times indicated below are only linked to existing groups.

Skills or experience required?:

We are hoping to find people (18+) who have already used our groups or other Battle Scars services and feel able to share the lead with their team members. We will consider applications from people who have not used our services but they will need to attend groups as part of their training. Applicants must be confident and/or willing to lead the groups once they've completed training. For these groups current lived experience of self-harm is required (struggling with self-harm now, whether acting on the urges or not).
