Digital Champion Volunteering

The Digital Champions service at Nidd Plus is here to help people get online, increase their level of digital skills and to ensure that people stay safe when they are online.

Skills or experience required?:

The basic skills that we would like to pass on are:

- To be able to send and receive emails
- To be able to use a search engine and browse the net
- To be able to fill out an online application form
- To be able to access a government service
- To be able to make an online purchase

The time that you could offer would be entirely up to you.

Currently we have our Coffee, Click & Connect sessions at Pateley, Kirkby Malzeard, Hampsthwaite, Darley and Dacre Banks.

We have a great bunch of volunteers and some will help out on a particular session and others will help out on multiple.

The initial Digital Champions Essentials training will include safeguarding of both the volunteer and the learner. You will also have access to numerous teaching guides on the technical know-how, such as connecting to the internet, email, Skype, using the internet, health & fitness.
