We run specific outward bound groups for people living with young onset dementia. We are looking for volunteers to support the one in the Craven area.
The group go out for a full day out in the local area, and enjoy fun, active, age-appropriate pursuits. We are looking for a volunteer or two volunteers who would be able to come out with the group, join in with the activity and support group members - we aim for an attitude of 'doing with' rather than 'doing for'.
Skills or experience required?:
We would love to hear from active people who love to be part of their community. Experience of dementia would be a bonus, but most importantly you need to have a caring and considerate outlook and wish to support others to access activity.
You will require?: Criminal Record Check (DBS)
