Volunteer Passenger Wellbeing Assistant

with Sight Support Ryedale

Sight Support Ryedale are looking for volunteers to accompany our visually impaired members on the minibus to our activities and events. We provide door-to-door transport for our members, and the volunteer would be supporting people from their home to the transport, ensuring that they are safely seated, and enjoying the ride with them. All training will be provided. No wheelchair handling is required.

Skills or experience required?:

Experience is not necessary, as full training will be given. A friendly nature, empathy, and an interest in people are necessary. In return, we can offer friendship, a sense of community, and some great days out.
