Treasurer

Thirsk Youth Club is looking for a qualified Accountant to oversee its financial management and report back to trustees periodically. They will be joining TYC at an exciting time in its growth and development.

The role can be done remotely and trustees meet on Teams in the evening, so location is not important.

Time committment is approximately 2-3 hours/month, with more time needed at Year end.

You will play an important part in sustaining and developing a small charity that is making a significant difference to young lives and the community in Thirsk.

Skills or experience required?:

TYC is looking for someone with ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualifications.
The present Treasurer (leaving for personal reasons) lists their duties as below:

• Monthly budget and forecasts
• Monthly bank reconciliation & cashflows
• HMRC gift aid submissions
• Payment of expenses, invoices
• Annual Charity accounts
• Annual Corporate tax return
• Guidance with grant/funding applications
• Attend trustee meeting
