Multiple opportunities - Dementia Day Care, Car Scheme, Meals on Wheels, Re-use Store Assistant and Sitting Service

Community Works is a charity based in Thirsk and are focused to support all aspects of our local community from taking elderly to hospital appointments or social engagements, providing food bank parcels for ones in need, delivering one warm homecooked meal a day to elderly people's doors, giving carers a break with our sitting service, looking after your loved ones who suffer with dementia by you bringing them to our dementia day care services that we run 4 days a week.

Skills or experience required?:

For 20 years we have been here for people in need, in and around Thirsk area. Today our mission is still the same, but we develop our services to continue to be there for those around us, as their needs and circumstances change.

All our volunteers roles required good communication, organisational skills, a friendly caring nature and an enjoyment of helping in the local community.
