Welcoming Visitors - 'stewarding'
with Niddderdale Museum
The Nidderdale museum attracts a wide range of visitors every year to its rich collection of exhibits, organised into themed spaces. Helping to keep the museum open as much as possible is a highly important and rewarding role, as well as being a great way to get closer to the exhibits and find out more about them.
It’s easy and enjoyable to start volunteering at the museum because no experience is required and there is always another experienced ‘steward’ to chat with.
Volunteer stewards help to open up and close the building, issue admission tickets and offer guidance and information to visitors.
The role:
The museum is open from April to November every afternoon (1.30 - 4.30) apart from Mondays (except Bank Holidays). During winter it is open only at weekends.
