Join Our Team of Volunteers at Staithes Museum!

Are you passionate about history and heritage? Do you want to be part of a local treasure that celebrates the rich past of Staithes and its people? We’re looking for volunteers to help make our museum an even more welcoming and exciting place for visitors.

Available Roles:
Museum Guide: Welcome visitors and share the fascinating stories behind our collection. Your friendly face will help visitors feel at home!

Museum Shop Assistant: Support our team by running the till, counting visitors and ensuring the shop runs smoothly.

Collection Cataloguer: Help us preserve history! We’re documenting every object in the museum and we need detail-oriented volunteers to assist with photographing and recording items.

Transcriber (Work from Home): Love solving the puzzle of old handwriting? We need volunteers to transcribe historical documents and you can do this from the comfort of your own home!

Flexible hours available between 10:30 AM and 4:30 PM, 7 days a week.

You will need to be able to get to the bottom of Staithes on foot (we are not able to provide parking)
